July 20, 2023              FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Pulaski, PA)...Hovis Auto and Truck Supply RUSH Racing Series presented by Born2Run Lubricants action this weekend saw veteran Brian Knowles finally crack victory lane for the first time this season in RUSH Late Model action.  In addition, veteran Al Brewer picked up win number one of the 2023 season at Bradford Speedway in the RUSH Pro Mods while Kole Holden dominated RUSH Sportsman Modified action at Expo Speedway.

Skyline Raceway hosted a special $1,000 to win City Chevrolet Weekly Series special event for the RUSH Late Models Friday evening.  Brian Knowles, who was making his season debut at the facility, scored the victory as he led the main event flag-to-flag.  Last year, Knowles was a seven-time feature winner, but has struggled to get to victory lane in 2023.  Brothers Alan and Todd Chapman completed the podium.  Patrick Parker and Brad Smith were fourth and fifth.

Breyton Santee became the sixth different winner in the seven RUSH Late Model events held at Raceway 7 this season as he picked up the win Friday.  Santee led the entire distance of the 20-lap main event to score his fourth overall win of 2023 in City Chevrolet Weekly Series action.  Matt Latta, who was making his first Raceway 7 start of the season, had an impressive run to finish in the second position after taking three months off due to some health issues.  Kyle Zimmerman was a season best third as Josh Ferry and Brock Pinkerous completed the top five.

On a rainy Saturday evening, Woodhull Raceway was the only RUSH-sanctioned track to be able to complete their program.  Fourth place starter, Jason Knowles, wasted little time as he took the top spot on lap one and never relinquished it to score his second win of the season at the southern tier New York oval.  Austin Allen came home in the second position with two second year competitors, Aaron Miller and Brett Marlatt, finishing third and fourth respectively.  Brian Knowles rounded out the top five.

City Chevrolet National Weekly Series points leader, Jeremy Wonderling, continued his winning ways at Bradford Speedway Sunday night as he tallied his fourth victory in as many tries at the speedway in RUSH Late Model action.  Kurt Stebbins was a season best second as Brad Mesler, Austin Hauser and Ward Schell completed the top five.

The Hovis Auto and Truck Supply RUSH Sportsman Modified were in action Thursday evening (July 13) as part of the 176th annual Trumbull County Fair.  Kole Holden dominated the $800 to-win event presented by Flynn's Tire to become the first repeat winner in the nine events held at Expo speedway for the division.

Todd English and Holden led the field to the green with Holden grabbing the top spot and quickly distancing himself from the rest of the field.  A four-car battle for the second spot featured English, Chelsie Kriegisch, Jordan Ehrenberg and Ayden Cipriano.  At the checkered flag Holden scored the victory by more than 11 seconds on the big 5/8-mile over English, who was making his RUSH season debut.  Kriegisch, a former winner at Expo, was third as Cipriano and Ehrenberg completed the first five.

Hovis Auto and Truck Supply RUSH Pro Mod teams started the weekend off Friday night at Freedom Motorsports Park.  Steve Dixon scored his third victory in as many tries at the New York oval and collected a $1,500 payday.  It was Dixon’s ninth Series win this season to continue to comfortably lead the Weekly Series standings.

In Pro Mod action Sunday at Bradford Speedway, veteran Al Brewer copped his first Bradford victory of the season and second overall in 2023.  Dixon, Critter Hemphill, Ian Degolier and Adam Peterson rounded out the top five.

The "Herb Scott Memorial" that was scheduled to take place Saturday at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway for the Flynn's Tire Tour succumbed to Mother Nature.  It was the Tour's first rain out after the first 12 scheduled events were completed.

In addition, Mother Nature canceled the RUSH Racing Series action at Potomac Speedway, Genesee Speedway, Stateline Speedway, Eriez Speedway and Sharon Speedway.  Both Tyler County Speedway and Winchester Speedway were off this past weekend.

It’s a weekend doubleheader for RUSH Late Model Flynn's Tire Touring Series competitors, who will be in action on Friday at Lernerville Speedway  for the "RUSH Summer Showcase" and then compete at Tyler County Speedway on Saturday night.  Both Late Model events will pay $3,000 to win.  The RUSH Sprints and Sportsman Modifieds are also on the racing card Friday at Lernerville.  The Sportsman Modified drivers will be in action Saturday at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway.

City Chevrolet Weekly Series RUSH Late Model action will take place this weekend at Freedom Motorsports Park, Georgetown Speedway, and Skyline Raceway on Friday night.  Saturday night action includes Stateline Speedway, Winchester Speedway, and Woodhull Raceway, while Sunday night will include Eriez Speedway and Bradford Speedway.

RUSH Pro Mod competitors have three nights of racing action this week with Freedom Motorsports Park (Friday), Stateline Speedway (Saturday), and Bradford Speedway (Sunday).  RUSH Stock Car racers have two  nights on tap with Freedom and Eriez.

It was announced this week that McKean County Raceway in East Smethport, Pa. will reopen after sitting dark for the nearly two years.  Kurt and Bonnie Stebbins have taken over the lease and will run six Thursday night events with the first being on August 3 in addition to the "Fall Classic" on October 6-7.  McKean will feature the RUSH Late Models and RUSH Pro Mods part of their lineup.  Stebbins also promotes Genesee Speedway and competes in the RUSH Late Model division himself.
