INCLEMENT WEATHER FORECASTED THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND CANCELS HOVIS RUSH LATE MODEL FLYNN'S TIRE/GUNTER'S HONEY TOURING SERIES EVENT AT BRIDGEPORT

(Swedesboro, NJ)...With periodic rain showers forecasted throughout the entire weekend in addition to high temperatures only in the 50s on Saturday, the $10,000 to-win Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series event presented by Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic and Insinger Performance scheduled for Bridgeport Motorsports Park April 4-5 with a rain date of April 6 has been cancelled.

"It's unfortunate the weather wasn't in our favor," stated RUSH Director Vicki Emig.  "We were really looking forward to having the showplace that Bridgeport is host the first ever RUSH-sanctioned event in New Jersey, and kickoff our Touring Series season in the biggest way possible.  After averaging 40 cars per event in 2024, we were expecting a tremendous high turnout of cars from all over the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Mid-Ohio Valley, but Mother Nature had other ideas.  With rain in the forecast every day this weekend and not ideal weather on Saturday with the chilly temps along with the travel that most teams were facing, we fully support Bridgeport promoter Doug Rose's decision to cancel the event today."

The 2025 Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series season will now kickoff on Saturday, April 12 at Tyler County Speedway for a $4,000 to-win event.  It will be the first of three appearances at the 1/4-mile Middlebourne, WV bullring this season.
