RAIN CLAIMS HOVIS RUSH LATE MODEL FLYNN’S TIRE/GUNTER’S HONEY TOUR SPRING EVENT AT WINCHESTER FOR THE 3RD STRAIGHT YEAR

(Winchester, VA)...Due to a 90% chance of rain, Saturday’s $5,000 to-win Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Model Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series Spring event at Winchester Speedway was lost to Mother Nature for the third straight year.  If it wasn’t for the herculean effort of track owner Greg Gunter in 2023 to get the track ready after a four-hour rain delay, it would have been the fourth straight year Mother Nature took the checkered flag for the early season event. 

After a successful Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Tour opener on Friday night at Georgetown (DE) Speedway that saw Kyle Hardy top a 35-car field from nine different states, Saturday’s cancellation was the second in the first three scheduled events to start the season.  The Tour will return to action on May 9-10 at Stateline Speedway in Busti (NY) for the “Bill Law Memorial” and Eriez Speedway in Erie, Pa. Both events will pay $4,000 to-win.
