June 28, 2019               FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Weedsport, NY)...The Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series powered by Pace Performance continues its busy three-week stretch of big events as it makes its return to the beautiful, state-of-the-art Weedsport Speedway this Tuesday (July 2).  Warm-ups begin at 6 p.m.  This pre-Independence Day holiday special will again be nationally broadcast by MAVTV/Speed Sport TV slated for a first run on Thursday, August 8.  The broadcast is again being presented by Sunoco Race Fuels distributed by Insinger Performance with Alternative Power Sources, CrateInsider.com, and Close Racing Supply returning as segment sponsors, and new this year Hovis Auto & Truck Supply presenting the "on-board cameras".

Tuesday's event will feature a complete Sweeney Marquee Tour show for the RUSH Late Models including $100 FK Rod Ends "Shock the Clock" qualifying, $25 to-win FK Rod Ends heat races, last chance B main(s), dash, and the 30-lap $2,000 to-win, $225 to-start feature.  Car count dependant, a non-qualifier will take place.  Also on the card will be the DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds and the NY6A Micro Sprints.

"Weedsport was one of the most requested speedways to add to our Touring Series schedule for several years," stated RUSH Director Vicki Emig.  "We couldn't have scripted a better show for MAVTV last year.  The grandstands were packed and the racing was tremendous with former Tour champion John Waters winning a thriller that saw many top racers have a shot at the victory.  Weedsport hosts World of Outlaws, USAC, All Stars, and Super DIRTcar events to name a few so we're proud to be able to take RUSH there once again.  Weedsport is located right off the New York State Thruway about 30 miles west of Syracuse so we expect a good mix of cars from Fulton, Genesee, Woodhull, and Humberstone Speedways to mix in with our Tour regulars."

“We’re excited to have the RUSH Dirt Late Models as a part of our Sportsman Classic program once again,” said Jimmy Phelps.  “The Series provides fantastic action and it will fit perfectly alongside our DIRTcar Sportsman and the NY6A Micro Sprints.  Join that with the opportunity to put the Late Models on national TV through Weedsport Productions for the second straight year and it is shaping up to be a great day on July 2.”

Sunoco Race Fuels, with its distributors Insinger Performance and Bazell Race Fuels, continue to be a strong marketing partner of the entire RUSH Racing Series, as the "Official Fuel" of RUSH.  They have been instrumental in helping provide RUSH racers with an affordable product, developed the large network of Sunoco fuel dealers throughout the entire RUSH region to ensure easy accessibility for the racers of the required fuels, and continue to be instrumental is assisting the Series with fuel testing and teching.

Late Model competitors have the option of the Sunoco 110 or RUSH 91 gas, while Sportsman Modified and Pro Mod racers are mandated to utilize the RUSH 91 gas.  RUSH Pro Stock racers are also encouraged to use the products.  RUSH Sprint Cars racers are utilizing the new RUSH "Visual" Methanol, a product of Insinger Performance.

"We have to thank Sunoco and Insinger Performance for their continued support of RUSH," expressed Emig.  "Not only do they offer a tremendous product, but most importantly an affordable product for our racers.  Their support of the Series allows us to do many things that otherwise wouldn't be possible such as being able to broadcast a RUSH Touring event Nationally.  Having the Sunoco/Insinger name associated with this MAVTV broadcast for the second straight year is a win-win for all."

"We also have to really thank Alternative Power Sources, Close Racing Supply, and CrateInsider.com for again being segment sponsors on the MAVTV/Speed Sport broadcast in addition to Hovis Auto & Truck Supply joining the broadcast," stated Emig.  "Last year, we were able to secure these fine supporters of RUSH and racing as a whole after announcing Sunoco and Insinger were presenting the broadcast.  This year, fresh off their sponsorship of the Bill Emig Memorial at Lernerville, Hovis Auto & Truck Supply will be the sponsor of the on-board cameras.  It's no secret there are a lot of costs associated with televising an event, and these companies have certainly helped make it feasible.  This broadcast goes a long way in promoting not only RUSH, but our racers and their sponsors along with showcasing our exciting brand of racing!"
