“We’re excited to have the RUSH Dirt Late Models as a part of our Sportsman Classic program,” said Weedsport Speedway promoter, Jimmy Phelps.  “The series provides fantastic action and it will fit perfectly alongside our DIRTcar Sportsman and the NY6A Micro Sprints.  Join that with the opportunity to put the Late Models on national TV through Weedsport Productions and it is shaping up to be a great day on July 3.”

Sunoco Race Fuels, with its distributors Insinger Performance and Bazell Race Fuels, continue to be a strong marketing partner as the "Official Fuel" of RUSH.  They developed the large network of Sunoco fuel dealers throughout the region to ensure easy accessibility for the racers of the required fuels and will be instrumental is assisting the Series with fuel testing and teching.

Late Model competitors have the option of the Sunoco 110 or RUSH 91 gas, while Sportsman Modified and Pro Mod racers are mandated to utilize the RUSH 91 gas.  RUSH Pro Stock racers are also encouraged to use the products.  RUSH Sprint Cars racers are utilizing the new RUSH "Visual" Methanol, a product of Insinger Performance.

"We have to thank Sunoco and Insinger Performance for their continued support of RUSH," expressed RUSH Director Vicki Emig.  "Not only do they offer a tremendous product, but their backing of the Series allows us to do many things that otherwise wouldn't be possible.  To have the Sunoco/Insinger name associated with this MAVTV broadcast is a win-win for all."

Weedsport, which also houses the Northeast Dirt Modified Hall of Fame, sits in between the RUSH Weekly-Sanctioned tracks of Fulton, Outlaw, and Genesee Speedways.  The event is also expected to attract racers from New York's Stateline and Woodhull Speedways along with Humberstone Speedway across the border in Ontario in addition to the Touring Series regulars and other invaders.

"There is no doubt that this event is going to be one of the  most anticipated on our 2018 Touring Schedule, stated Emig.  "Not only is it in an excellent location just off I-90 in the center of many of our New York teams, but the facility is truly a showplace.  Over the years, Weedsport has been one of the most requested venues by  the racers.  Having RUSH's first ever televised event on MAVT/Speed Sport, a station very familiar to racing enthusiasts, and presenting the event at Weedsport on the night before the Fourth of July is sure to add to the excitement!  We can't thank track general manager Jimmy Phelps and staff enough for giving us this wonderful opportunity to showcase and take the RUSH Late Model Series to the next level!"

The MAVTV/Speed Sport shows air Thursday nights at 7 pm and most will re-air at 10 pm the same evening.  Re-runs typically air later in the season.  MAVTV, which is available to 30 million households, is predominantly on DIRECTTV and Fios by Verizon.  Other carriers can be found here: www.mavtv.com/get-mavtv/providers.  Shows are also archived on speedsport.tv for online viewing at the end of the season.
