MODEL EVENT IN TRACK'S HISTORY WITH $4000 ON THE LINE

July 8,
2025 FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE
(Bradford, PA)...After a two-race Independence Day holiday weekend in West
Virginia, the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Model Flynn's Tire/Gunter's
Honey Touring Series will return to action this Sunday night (July 13) at
Bradford Speedway. Race #7 of the
weather-plagued season will be the first and only appearance of the season at
the 1/4-mile bullring. Warmups will
get underway at 5:30 p.m. followed by qualifying and racing.
Bradford Speedway is in its first year of ownership by Rick and
Mary Isadore. The RUSH Late Models
and RUSH Pro Mods are part of the weekly program in 2025 at Bradford.
Jacob Wilber and Austin Allen have scored City Chevrolet Weekly Series
wins thus far at Bradford with Wilber’s being the first of his career, while
Allen’s was his first at Bradford.
Bradford has hosted just three Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring
Series events all-time with three former champions from the Empire State
victorious. Bryce Davis won the
first ever event at the track in 2017 under the promotion of Norm Asel.
During Dennis Cummings’ five-year stint as a promoter, the Tour appeared
in 2022 and 2023 with John Waters and Jeremy Wondering victorious.
Will there be a fourth different winner in four events on Sunday!?
All three of the prior events paid $3,000 to-win with Sunday’s paying a
track high $4,000 to-win!
“Bradford’s unique configuration and size always poses a challenge
to racers and really equalizes the competition even more so,” stated RUSH
Director Vicki Emig. “We have to
thank the Isadores for sanctioning weekly racing under RUSH for both the Late
Models and Pro Mods. We’re also
thrilled they decided to host a Touring Series event in their first year.”
Wonderling is fresh off a big weekend in West Virginia where he
finished second to Tyler County Speedway standout Kyle Thomas on Thursday then
followed it up winning the very first Tour race at Ohio Valley Speedway on
Friday for his first victory of the season.
Wonderling has jumped out to a 33-point advantage in his search for an
unprecedented fifth title, which would be worth a personal best $20,000.
The 2021 Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series Champion, Kyle
Hardy, has rebounded from a slow start to the season and has climbed to second
in points. Second year RUSH racer
Ben Easler is coming off a career best weekend with finishes of fifth and fourth
to jump into a tie for third in points with new 3C Graphix Rookie-of-the-Year
points leader Zack Carley. Second
year Tour racer, Austin Allen, is fifth just one-point from a tie in third.
RoY candidate Demetrios Drellos is just one-point behind Allen in sixth.
Another second year Tour racer, Daryl Charlier, is a close seventh as
Jason Knowles, Bud Watson, and Mike Wonderling complete the top 10.
While just two points separate third through sixth in points, second
through eighth are separated by only 15!
Max Blair is the only repeat winner after six events this season as
he swept the Stateline-Eriez weekend in May.
Charlier won the Tri-City Raceway Park Memorial Day eve event.
Mason Zeigler won the biggest race of his career in the $20,000 “Bill
Emig Memorial” presented by Sunoco Race Fuels at Lernerville Speedway on June
21. Thomas and Wonderling won the
most recent events in the Mountaineer State.
Bradford's race is a Platinum
Event designation- the second and final one scheduled in 2025. Platinum Events
allow Tour members the opportunity to use them to replace their worst Tour
finish or give Tour members that have or will miss a Tour show the opportunity
to use the event(s) as a replacement Marquee Event.
The D&V Jewelers Non-Qualifier on
Sunday will have an increased purse at $350 to-win due to a 20-car feature
starting field (plus provisionals).
Tour racers Brad Mesler and Ryan Hare are tied for the points lead in the
D&V Jewelers “Wheelman” Bonus Event Challenge Series.
$100 "Shock the Clock" Qualifying and $25 to-win heat races will be presented by
FK Rod Ends. The Sunoco Dash will set the beginning rows of the feature
lineup and will award the winner a $100 Sunoco fuel gift card. The
"Fill'er up with Sunoco Bucks" program co-presented by Bazell Race Fuels will
include an additional $400 of Sunoco fuel card giveaways; two $100 random draws
for drivers in the top 15 in Tour points and another four $50 random draws for
all other competitors.
The podium finishers will each receive a three-pack of Heritage Wine Cellars
premier products. Precise Racing
Products will award a $50 gift card for the "Pedal Down" Hard Charger that
passes the most cars in the feature. Ontime Body & Graphic's "Spoiler
Alert" will award a spoiler kit to the seventh place finisher. The first
feature non-qualifier will receive a $50 certificate from Holley Performance
