RAIN FORCES SATURDAY'S "BILL FORNEY MEMORIAL" FOR PACE RUSH LATE MODEL FLYNN'S TIRE/BORN2RUN LUBRICANTS TOURING SERIES TO BE POSTPONED TO AUGUST 28 AT SHARON

(Hartford, OH)... Heavy rains throughout the week have flooded Sharon Speedway and with more rain forecasted throughout the day, track management was forced pull the plug on Saturday night's scheduled "Bill Forney Memorial" for the Pace Performance RUSH Late Model Flynn's Tire/Born2Run Lubricants Touring Series.  The $3,199 to-win event along with the Canfield/Sharon Drivers Reunion (1949-1973) has also been rescheduled to Saturday, August 28. 

The inaugural "Bill Forney Memorial" featuring the return of the RUSH Late Model Touring Series to Sharon for the first time since 2016 was scheduled to take place one year ago; however, COVID-19 restrictions forced the event to be postponed to 2021.  RUSH, Sharon Speedway, and the Forney Family are hoping the third time will be a charm on August 28.  Anyone still wishing to donate towards the event and increase the purse can do so using the following form: https://rushlatemodels.com/ForneyDonationFlyer2021.pdf

The next event for the Pace Performance RUSH Late Model Flynn's Tire/Born2Run Lubricants Touring Series will be on Saturday, August 7 at Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway for the "Jook George Steel City Classic" presented by Zarin Truck & Auto before heading back to Eriez Speedway on August 15 for "Manufacturers Night" presented by MSD Performance.  Following the "Bill Forney Memorial", the Tour will return to Sharon on September 10-11 for the "Cider Jug 40" paying $4,000 to-win.
