16-YEAR-OLD TRENTON CURRY BECOMES YOUNGEST HOVIS RUSH PRO MOD WINNER IN SERIES HISTORY WITH HIS VICTORY AT STATELINE; 19-YEAR-OLD TRENT MARSHALL SCORES HIS 1ST CAREER RUSH SPRINT CAR WIN AT LERNERVILLE

(Pulaski, PA)...For the first time in several weeks sunshine and comfortable temperatures greeted the competitors in the various Hovis Auto and Truck Supply RUSH Racing Series divisions presented by Born2Run Lubricants and all of the events scheduled were completed. Michael Norris tallied his first victory of the season in RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series action at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. Trent Marshall (Hovis RUSH Sprint Cars) and Trenton Curry (Hovis RUSH Pro Mods) celebrated their career first victories. Kole Holden added to his win total in RUSH Sportsman Modified action and William Baker, Jr. tallied two more win in RUSH Stock Car action.

The Dirt Track at Genesee hosted a special Thursday evening program part of the Genesee County Fair last Thursday night for the RUSH Late Model Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series.  Paul Grigsby took the $1,000 win to become the amazing ninth different winner in as many races this season!  JJ Mazur, who recently returned to competition after taking the last two seasons off, was second for his best finish in more than four years.. Jake Wilber, Doug Ricotta and Bill Taylor finished third through fifth. 

Ashton Briggs and Billy Henry, Jr. led the Hovis RUSH Late Model action to the green flag Friday at Raceway 7.  Briggs, who was making his first visit of the season, wasted little time as he led the entire distance of the 20-lap main event to score his first win of 2026. Seventh place starter Colby Beighey came home in second in his season debut with Breyton Santee third. Henry and William Pinckney rounded out the top five.

Dog Hollow Speedway had two RUSH Late Model main events on Friday evening. In the July 3rd make-up, Tom Snyder, Jr. claimed the win over Davin Kaiser, Cody Williams, Leo Iarrapino and Skylar Park. Snyder also picked up the win in the regularly scheduled main event defeating Park, Williams, Iarrapino and Brandon Doland. Snyder now has five wins in Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series action.

The Hovis RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series made their first visit of the season to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway for the 37th Annual Jook George Steel City Classic on Saturday. A season-high 49 cars were in attendance.  Kyle Lukon and Michael Norris led the field to green with Norris leading the first lap before Lukon nosed ahead on the second circuit. Norris made his winning move on a lap seven restart as he used a turn three slider to gain the top spot from Lukon. Norris was showing the way with Lukon in second and Dan Angelicchio in third. The caution flew on lap 22 when Lukon slowed after hitting the turn two wall. The final restart saw Norris regaining his advantage while Angelicchio and Demetrios Drellos battled for second. At the checkered flag it was Norris, scoring a 1.794 second victory over Drellos to claim the $6,010 top prize. Angelicchio came home in third, which was his best Tour finish since 2013. Christian Schneider and Jeremy Wonderling rounded out the top five.

Saturday evening at Woodhull Raceway pole sitter Steve LeBarron led the first 18 laps of the Hovis RUSH Late Model main event while fifth place starter Brett Marlatt slowly worked his way through the field. By lap 17 Marlatt closed the gap between himself and LeBarron to just .029 seconds and then got around LeBarron coming out of turn four with two laps remaining. Once out front Marlatt cruised to his third victory of the season at the New York oval. Lebarron settled for second with Rickie Loucks claiming third. Brian Knowles finished 4^th and Marshall O’Brian completed the top five.

Hovis RUSH Late Model Weekly Series action at Stateline Speedway saw Ian Travis and Brendon Warner battle each other and lapped traffic during the 20-lap main event. At the finish it was Travis scoring his second victory of the season by .238 seconds over Warner, who was a Late Model career best second for the former RUSH Pro Mod race.  Andy Michael, Randy Hall and Steve Dixon followed.

Sunday evening at Eriez Speedway Kurt Stebbins led the first six laps in RUSH Late Model action before Jeremy Wonderling took over on lap seven. Wonderling led the remainder of the 20-lap event to pick up his fourth Eriez win of the season in as many tries and eighth overall to maintain the lead in the Colussy Chevrolet National Weekly Series standings. Stebbins came home in the runner-up position with Billy Henry, Jr. getting third.  Breyton Santee and Ben Easler finished fourth and five respectively. 

Mike Wonderling led the first seven circuits of Hovis RUSH Late Model action Sunday at Bradford Speedway before Dusty Waters took over on lap eight.  Waters led the way until Jake Wilber took over on lap 12. Wilber then led the remainder of the 25-lap event to pick up his third win of the season at the speedway and his fourth overall of 2026 in Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series action.  Fifth place starter Jason Dobson came home a season best second with Ward Schell getting third.  Waters and Wonderling dropped to fourth and fifth respectively.

The lone Hovis RUSH Sportsman Modified event took place Friday evening at Raceway 7.  Kole Holden led all the way to score his third win of the season at the Ohio oval.  The win was also the 34th of Holden’s in divisional action. Russ King Racing Futures Cup racer, Nolan Burns, was a career best second.  Brothers Jacob and Doug Rutana were third and fourth as Kyle Martell completed the top five.

Hovis RUSH Sprint Car competitors began their weekend of Rustler Sales and Service Weekly Series action at Lernerville Speedway for the first time of 2026 on Friday night.  Youngsters Brayden Blackshear and Trent Marshall led the 18-car field to the green.  The 19-year-old Marshall led the entire distance of the 20-lap event to score his career first divisional victory over veterans John Mollick and Arnie Kent.  Fourteen-year-old Logen Lockhart recorded his best career finish in a Sprint Car in fourth.  Points leader Gale Ruth, Jr. rounded out the top five.

Saturday evening at Sharon Speedway, Mollick went from fifth to first on the opening lap main event and never looked back as he went on to score his second victory of the season at the Hartford, OH oval.  The win was also Mollick’s fifth of the season overall and 34th of his career in the division.  Fourteen-year-old Brayden Blackshear scored his career best divisional finish in second.  Following his win the night prior to Lernerville, Trent Marshall completed a solid weekend in third.  Wyatt Long and Arnie Kent finished fourth and fifth respectively.

Hovis RUSH Pro Mod teams were in action at Stateline Speedway Saturday evening.  Josh Wilcox and Trenton Curry led the field to the green.  The duo battles side-by-side for the majority of the 15-lap event with Curry, the 2025 Russ King Racing Futures Cup Champion, pulling away in the later stages of the event to score his first ever divisional victory.  The 16-year-old former RUSH Karting racer became the youngest winner in RUSH Pro Mod history!  Dave Shagla, Jr. was second as Josh Canfield and Cody VanGuilder rounded out the top five.

William Baker, Jr. appears to be the driver to beat in Hovis RUSH Stock Car action as the Titusville, PA driver was victorious at both Tri-City Raceway Park and Eriez Speedway this past weekend.  Friday evening at Tri-City Baker led the entire distance of the 15-lap main event to score his fourth victory in a row. Robby Switzer, Cole Laskey, Raiddan Wilson and Jim Buchanon completed the top five. Sunday evening at Eriez Speedway Baker tallied his RUSH leading 10th win of 2026 as he defeated Kaden Michael, Cole Strickland, Darr Diegelman and Alex Bush.     

Raiddan Wilson led the first seven circuits of Hovis Auto and Truck Supply Stock Car action at Stateline Speedway before Cole Strickland took the top spot and went on to score the win, which was his second divisional victory of the season. David McAvoy, Alex Bush and Ken Moore, Sr. followed.

It is another busy weekend for Hovis RUSH Late Model Colussy Chevrolet Weekly Series competitors. They will be in action Friday at Raceway 7 and Georgetown Speedway with both tracks paying $1,500 to win. Saturday’s action includes The Dirt Track at Genesee, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, Stateline Speedway, Woodhull Raceway, and a special $1,500 to win event at Winchester Speedway.  Eriez Speedway is the lone track in action on Sunday.

Hovis RUSH Sprint Car Rustler Sales and Service teams will be in action Friday at Tri-City Raceway Park and then head to Pittsburgh on Saturday.

It’s another three-day racing weekend for RUSH Stock Car teams as they will be at Tri-City Raceway Park on Friday, Stateline Speedway on Saturday and Eriez Speedway on Sunday.

RUSH Pro-Mod action is scheduled at Stateline Speedway Saturday, while RUSH Sportsman Modified competitors have the weekend off.
