PERFECTION AT RACEWAY 7 WITH HIS 1ST RUSH SPORTSMAN MOD WIN OF THE YEAR;
SEASON’S 1ST FOR ALEX BUSH IN RUSH STOCKS

(Pulaski, PA)…The
racing season may be heading into the home stretch, but the Hovis Auto & Truck
Supply RUSH racing action continues to provide fans with lots of excitement.
Kole Holden spoiled Chas Wolbert’s hope of an undefeated season at Raceway 7 in
RUSH Sportsman Modified action. Kyle Hardy finally broke into victory lane for
the first time in 2025 at his home track- Winchester Speedway.
Steve Dixon doubled up in RUSH Pro Mod action including the “Jim Peterson
Memorial” at McKean County Raceway, which was “Manufacturers Night” presented by
MSD Performance event. Alex Bush scored his first victory of the season in RUSH
Stock car action while two familiar faces, Blaze Myers and John Mollick, added
to their win totals in RUSH Sprint Car action.
Hovis RUSH Late Model City Chevrolet Weekly Series action at Raceway 7 Friday
evening saw Billy Henry, Jr. overcome two straight weeks of late race heartbreak
to score his fourth victory of the 2025 season at the Conneaut, OH oval.
Henry led the entire distance of the
20-lap main event to score the 1.289 second win over Kyle Zimmerman. Jeff
Watson, Jason Genco and Ashton Briggs completed the top five.
Tom
Snyder tallied his fourth win of the season Friday at Dog Hollow Speedway, but
first since May 23 in Hovis RUSH Late Model City Chevrolet Weekly Series action.
Colby Beighey finished in second with Leo Iarrapino claiming third. Tyler
Ellenberger and Mike Laughard completed the top five.
Nick Davis led the entire distance of the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Rick
Hendrick City Chevrolet Weekly Series event at Georgetown Speedway on Friday to
score his second win of the season. Matt Hill, Ben Scott, the original Trevor
Collins (#72), and Trevor Collins (#2) followed.
The
Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey
Touring Series made its first and only visit of the 2025 season to McKean County
for the “Jim Peterson Memorial”. Jeremy Wonderling put on a dominating
performance to score the win in a non-stop 30-lap main event that was completed
in less than nine minutes. The victory was Wonderling’s third this season in
Touring Series action as well as the 29th of his career.
The $5,000 win also puts Wonderling
solidly out in front in the race for the $20,000 Touring Series Championship.
Jason Knowles matched his career best tour finish to capture the second position
and Zack Carley got his first podium finish of the year finishing third.
Kyle Hardy and Bryce Davis rounded out
the top five.
Brett Marlatt led the opening lap of the RUSH Late Model main event Saturday at
Woodhull Raceway before Bryce Davis took the top spot on lap two.
Davis and Steve LeBarron then swapped the
top spot several times before Davis took the lead for good on lap eight to score
his second victory of the season at the New York oval and third overall in City
Chevrolet Weekly Series action. LeBarron
settled for second with Rickie Loucks, Joe Layfield and Marlatt rounding out the
top five.
Saturday evening at The Dirt Track at Genesee, Paul Grigsby led the first three
laps of the RUSH Late Model main event until he unfortunately spun in turn
three. Bill Holmes III inherited the lead
and went on to lead the reminder of the event to score his second Genesee win of
the season and third overall in City Chevrolet Weekly Series action.
Doug Ricotta came home in second with
Grigsby working his way back to the third spot. Bill Taylor and Billy DuBois
finished fourth and fifth respectively.
Hovis RUSH Late Model action resumed at Winchester Speedway Saturday evening
with a solid 23 cars on hand. Davin
Kaiser and Travis Campbell led the field to the green with Campbell leading the
first four laps before Kaiser worked the inside groove and nosed ahead to lead
lap five. Kaiser kept the top spot over
Kyle Hardy until a lap 13 caution and restart provided Hardy with the
opportunity that he needed to challenge for the top spot.
Hardy used the low side of the speedway
to get by Kaiser on lap 15 and go on to lead the remaining five laps to score
his first RUSH win of 2025. Kaiser held
on for second with Campbell finishing third. Jeremiah Marshall and Mike Franklin
completed the top five. Winchester
has averaged 22 cars per night for weekly competition in 2025.
Rob
Middleton, Jr. and Scott Gurdak led the RUSH Late Model feature event to the
green Saturday evening at Stateline Speedway. Gurdak
led the first five laps before Jeremy Wonderling took command on lap six.
Wonderling led the final 15 circuits to
score his second victory of the weekend over Jason Genco. Gurdak, David Parker
and last week’s winner Randy Hall rounded out the top five.
It was Wonderling’s second Stateline win of the season and sixth overall
in City Chevrolet Weekly Series action.
Breyton Santee led the entire distance of the RUSH Late Model main event Sunday
at Eriez Speedway to score his fourth victory at the track and sixth overall of
2025 in City Chevrolet RUSH Late Model action. Kyle
Zimmerman finished second for the second time of the weekend with David Parker
getting third. Khole Wanzer and Andrew Chess completed the top five.
Hovis RUSH Sprint Car teams had two nights of action in Billy’s Garage Weekly
Series action. The weekend began Friday evening at Tri-City Raceway Park with
Wyatt Long leading the first two laps of the main event before Blaze Myers took
the top spot. Two cautions in the event
gave Zach Morrow the opportunity to overtake Myers but he was unable to do so.
Myers went on to score his ninth victory
of the season at the Franklin, PA oval. Morrow
came home in the runner-up position with Grayson Bayle, Joe Buccola and Luke
Mulichak completing the top five.
Saturday evening the RUSH Sprint Car teams stopped by the Lernerville Speedway
for the first time in 2025 in a special $1,100 to win event presented by Peluso
Roofing. Twenty-two cars took the green
with veteran John Mollick leading the first three circuits before Zach Morrow
took the top spot. Mollick battled back and regained the top spot on lap 11.
Mollick went on to score a 1.553 second victory over Morrow for his eighth win
of the season in Series action. Arnie
Kent, Ricky Tucker III and Samantha Priest rounded out the top five in her first
ever Lernerville race.
The
Hovis RUSH Sportsman Modified teams were in action in another round of “Route 7
Rumble” Series action. Their weekend began Friday at Raceway 7 with second place
starter Rob Kristyak leading the first 16 circuits before fourth place starter
Kole Holden grabbed the top spot. Holden
went on to lead the final four circuits to score his first win at Raceway 7
since June 2, 2023. Holden’s milestone 30th
career Series win also ended Chas Wolbert’s unbeaten streak at the speedway in
2025. Wolbert, who spun early in the event, charged through the field to finish
in the second position. Jacob Rutana,
Kristyak and Todd English rounded out the top five.
J.C. Boyer led the opening lap of the RUSH Sportsman Modified main event at
Sharon Speedway before a caution slowed the action.
On the restart that followed Chas Wolbert
used the outside of the track to get by Boyer for the lead.
Wolbert then went on to lead the final 19
laps to score a convincing 5.193 second victory over Boyer. The win was
Wolbert’s fifth of the year at the speedway and his 13th overall in 2025.
Brothers Doug and Jacob Rutana finished
third and fourth respectively with Darin Gallagher getting fifth.
The event was also the division’s annual
“Manufacturers Night" presented by MSD Performance with eligible drivers sharing
in more than $15,000 of valuable product giveaways. All competing drivers
received an extra $25 from Jerry Schaffer Racing.
Hovis RUSH Pro Mod teams competed in the “Jim Peterson Memorial: Friday at
McKean County Raceway. In addition to the
$1,200 to win top prize the event was also the division’s annual “Manufacturers
Night” presented by MSD Performance. All legal RUSH Pro Mods in attendance
shared in more than $15,000 in valuable product giveaways. Although multiple
cautions slowed the event Steve Dixon led the entire distance of the event to
tally first win of the season at the East Smethport fairground oval. J.D.
Chamberlain, Al Brewer, Josh Wilcox and Nick Arnold completed the top five.
Josh Wilcox led the entire distance of the 15-lap Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro
Mod main event Saturday at Stateline Speedway to score his second victory of the
season by 4.341 seconds over Tim Peterson. Tyler Oakes claimed third with Nick
Arnold fourth and Al Brewer fifth.
Sunday evening at Bradford Speedway, Ian DeGolier led the early part of the RUSH
Pro Mod main event before veteran Steve Dixon capitalized on Degolier’s mistake
to score his seventh overall Series win of 2025.
DeGolier settled for second with Al Brewer third and Josh Canfield
fourth.
Hovis RUSH Stock Car competitors began their three-race weekend at Tri-City
Raceway Park. Raiddan Wilson led the first four laps before Camron Kramer
grabbed the top spot. The next three laps
saw William Baker, Jr., and Darr Diegelman join Wilson and Kramer in the battle
for the lead. On lap nine Wilson would spin and bring out the first of two
cautions; just three laps later Wilson would spin again, which set up a three
lap shoot out for the top spot. Kramer led the field on the restart with Baker
pulling even as the two exited turn two. Baker took the top spot for good and
held on for the win. Kramer settled for second with Diegleman, Wilson and Jim
Buchanan rounding out the top five.
It
was Alex Bush claiming his first victory of the season in RUSH Stock Car action
at Stateline Speedway Saturday. The Erie, Pa. driver started on the pole and led
wire-to-wire over Diegelman by 3.488 seconds. Raiddan
Wilson got third with Cole Strickland and Ken Moore, Sr. completing the top
five.
The
RUSH Stock Car teams finished the weekend at Eriez Speedway on Sunday.
Kaden Michael scored the win, which was
his second at the track and his sixth overall in divisional action.
The win also moved the defending champion
into the Series points lead by one digit over Russ King Racing Futures Cup
points leader, Raiddan Wilson. Blaze
Harrison claimed second with Wilson getting third. Cole Strickland and William
Baker, Jr. rounded out the top five.
The
Labor Day weekend is here and it is full of Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH
racing action. The Hovis RUSH Late Model Flynn’s Ture/Gunter’s Honey Touring
Series action scheduled. Friday evening’s event is part of the “Oil Region
Classic” at Tri-City Raceway Park in Franklin, PA.
RUSH Late Model teams will then travel to
Tyler County Speedway on Sunday as part of the inaugural “County Roads” event,
which will also award points for the Dave Poske’s Performance Parts Mid-Ohio
Valley Series. Both events will pay
$4,000 to-win.
Weekly Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Model City Chevrolet Weekly Series
action is also scheduled at Raceway 7, Dog Hollow Speedway, The Dirt Track at
Genesee, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (twin $1000 to-win events),
Stateline Speedway, and Woodhull Raceway.
Hovis RUSH Sprint Car action is scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at
Tri-City Raceway Park. Two rounds of group qualifying will take place on Friday
along with a $300 to-win/$50 to-start non-winners race followed by complete
shows on Saturday and Sunday for $800 and $1,000 to-win respectively.
RUSH Sportsman Modified action is slated for Friday at Raceway 7 for the final
time of 2025, which will also end the points for the “Route 7 Rumble” Series.
RUSH Pro Mod teams will be in action at Stateline Speedway on Saturday.
The
Hovis RUSH Stock Car teams will begin their weekend on Saturday at Stateline
Speedway and then travel to Tri-City Raceway Park for a special $600 to-win
event on Sunday.
