September 1, 2022 FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE
(Middlebourne, WV)...After a month off,
the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Model Flynn's Tire Touring
Series will return to action this Sunday night (September 4) with the first ever
appearance at Tyler County Speedway.
Race #14 of the 2022 season will be part of the "Hillbilly 100" with the Lucas
Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Sunday's "Cider Jug 40" will pay $4,000 to-win and
will not only be the first ever Flynn's Tire Touring Series event at Tyler
County, but first ever in the state of West Virginia!
Warmups begin at 6 p.m.
"It's an honor to be part of the Hillbilly weekend at Tyler County and be on the
card with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in such a historic event," stated
RUSH Director Vicki Emig. "Having
Tyler County part of our RUSH Weekly Series program has been a tremendous
addition. Our racers have wanted to
get to Tyler County for so long. We
were looking forward to a great Touring Series event at Tyler County on July 23,
but Mother Nature had other plans that night.
Being on Sunday night and the night before Labor Day should allow some
additional teams the ability to participate in this event.
We can't thank John Watson and Dan Patterson enough for their unwavering
support of RUSH."
Tyler County Speedway is in its first year under the RUSH banner for its Late
Model class, and made history on April 2 when it ran its first ever RUSH Late
Model event. There were 12 events
completed with seven different winners this season at "The Bullring".
Donnie Dotson leads the way with four victories as he sits atop the
$2,000 to-win "Track Pack" with the final event of the season on Sunday.
Michael Duritsky, Jr. and Kyle Thomas each have a pair of victories,
while A.J. Spagnuolo, Brandon Weigle, Lucas McDonald, and Logan Reed also have a
win.
Thus far this year, the RUSH Late Model Flynn's Tire Touring Series has
completed 13 events with an average car count of 36 per event. There have
been nine different winners as only Virginia's Roberson (four) and Joe Martin
(two) have been able to score multiple victories.
Other winners include Delaware's Joe Warren, New York racers Chad Homan
and John Waters, Florida's Mark Whitener, and Pennsylvania's Michael Norris,
Josh Ferry, and Daryl Charlier.
Roberson continues to lead the Flynn's Tire Tour points with 11 top 5s and 13
top 10 in 13 races. Roberson
expanded his lead to 34 over Martin after winning more than $7,600 at the August
6 Pittsburgh "Jook George Steel City Classic" event. Three-time Tour
champion, Jeremy Wonderling is third over his brother Brady as both racers
continue to search for their first Series wins.
Matt Latta has had a strong second half of the season as he trails Brady
Wonderling by just 12 points. Breyton Santee is sixth over Andy Michael,
Ashton Briggs, Jonathan Stockdale, and Jim Rasey, who leads the D&V Jewelers
Non-Qualifier points.
On Sunday, $100 "Shock the Clock" Qualifying and $25 to-win heat races will take
place and be presented by FK Rod Ends. The Sunoco Dash will set the
beginning rows of the feature lineups and will award the winner a $100 Sunoco
fuel gift card. The "Fill'er up with Sunoco Bucks" program will include an
additional $400 of Sunoco fuel card giveaways each night; two $100 random draws
for drivers in the top 15 of Tour points and another four $50 random draws for
all other competitors.

Charger that passes the most cars in the feature. The TBM Brakes
“Tough Brake of the Night” will award three bottles of Xtreme6 Racing Brake Fluid. The feature winner
will receive a 5-Gallon Race Jug from Precise. Ontime Body & Graphic's
