EVER TOURING SERIES EVENT FOR $3000 TO-WIN ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2022
By Mike Leone
December 13,
2021 FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE
(Canandaigua, NY)...For
the first time in Pace Performance RUSH Late Model Series history, the Flynn's
Tire/Born2Run Lubricants Touring Series will invade Land of Legends Raceway in
2022. The 1/2-mile track in
Canandaigua, New York will host the $3,000 to-win event on Saturday, September
10.
This past season on September 11, Lands of Legends became the 13th different
track in the Empire State to host a RUSH Late Model sanctioned event in Series
history. The highly successful Pace
Weekly Series event saw Chris Fleming win a thriller over Sean Beardsley for the
$1,000 payday.
RUSH Tour members will be competing for a record Touring Series point fund of
more than $51,000 with $15,000 going to the 2022 champion.
This 25% increase in the point fund comes one year after the point fund
was doubled with Kyle Hardy earning the $12,000 top honors.
In addition, RUSH Weekly member drivers will be able to race at the Land
of Legends event and accumulate points towards the National Weekly Series
Championship.
"Land of Legends is a historic speedway in New York and we're honored to be able
to showcase our brand of Touring Series racing there," expressed RUSH Director
Vicki Emig. "Over the years, racers have always inquired about the possibility
of taking RUSH to Land of Legends, and we were thrilled last year when promoter
Paul Cole contacted us about bringing the RUSH Late Models to his facility.
The race and facility received rave reviews and the fact that he was
willing to go from a $1,000 to-win Weekly special to a $3,000 to-win Tour event
speaks volumes. I know this is an
exciting announcement for many of our New York drivers and will be a new track
the majority of our Tour racers."
"Vicki Emig and everyone at RUSH has been a pleasure to work with and we welcome
their full tour to the track 'Where Legends Are Made'," expressed Land of
Legends Promoter Paul Cole.
