September 7, 2022               FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Canandaigua, NY)...After more than a month off, the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Model Flynn's Tire Touring Series will return to action this Saturday night (September 10) with the first ever appearance at Land of Legends Raceway (formerly known as Canandaigua Speedway).  Great weather is forecast for race #14 of the 2022 season, which will be part of the "Full Fender Frenzy" and will pay $3,000 to-win for the Platinum Touring Series Event.  Warmups begin at 6 p.m.  Land of Legends TV (www.landoflegendstv.com) will broadcast the event free of charge.

Last year, Lands of Legends became the 13th different track in the Empire State to host a RUSH Late Model sanctioned event in Series history.  The highly successful Weekly Series event saw Chris Fleming win a thriller over Sean Beardsley for the $1,000 payday.  Fleming, who has four RUSH Weekly Series wins at Skyline Raceway and one at The Hill Speedway this season, will return on Saturday night looking to win three times last year's amount!  Several other western, central, and southern tier New York racers will look to defeat the Flynn's Tire Touring Series stars.

"Land of Legends is a historic speedway in New York and we're honored to be able to showcase our brand of Touring Series racing there," expressed RUSH Director Vicki Emig.  "Over the years, racers have always inquired about the possibility of taking RUSH to Land of Legends, and we were thrilled last year when promoter Paul Cole contacted us about bringing the RUSH Late Models to his facility.  The race and facility received rave reviews and the fact that he was willing to go from a $1,000 to-win Weekly special to a $3,000 to-win Tour event speaks volumes.  I know this is exciting for many of our New York drivers and will be a new track the majority of our Tour racers."

"Vicki Emig and everyone at RUSH has been a pleasure to work with and we welcome their full tour to the track 'Where Legends Are Made'," expressed Land of Legends Promoter Paul Cole.

There have been nine different winners in 13 Flynn's Tire Touring Series events this season.  Virginia's Logan Roberson continues to lead the points with 11 top 5s and 13 top 10 in 13 races including a Series high four victories.  Roberson expanded his lead to 34 points over two-time winner, Joe Martin, after winning more than $7,600 at the August 6 Pittsburgh "Jook George Steel City Classic" event.  Martin is the only other multiple winner this season on the Tour.

Three-time Tour champion, Jeremy Wonderling is third over his brother Brady as both racers continue to search for their first Series wins.  Matt Latta has had a strong second half of the season as he trails Brady Wonderling by just 12 points.  Breyton Santee is sixth over Andy Michael, Ashton Briggs, Jonathan Stockdale, and Jim Rasey, who leads the D&V Jewelers Non-Qualifier points.  Father-son Canadian duo, Craig and Brandt Graham, have fallen out of the top 10 in points, but are expected to make their return to Series competition after missing the last two events.

The Flynn's Tire Tour has suffered three rainouts in the last four scheduled events including two at Tyler County Speedway.  Last Sunday's scheduled $4,000 to-win "Cider Jug 40" event at Tyler County part of the "Hillbilly 100" with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series has been rescheduled to Thursday, September 29 before two big nights at Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway for the "Bill Hendren Memorial".

On Saturday at Land of Legends, $100 "Shock the Clock" Qualifying and $25 to-win heat races will take place and be presented by FK Rod Ends.  The Sunoco Dash will set the beginning rows of the feature lineups and will award the winner a $100 Sunoco fuel gift card.  The "Fill'er up with Sunoco Bucks" program will include an additional $400 of Sunoco fuel card giveaways; two $100 random draws for drivers in the top 15 of Tour points and another four $50 random draws for all other competitors.

Precise Racing Products will award a $50 gift card for the "Pedal Down" Hard Charger that passes the most cars in the feature.  The TBM Brakes “Tough Brake of the Night” will award three bottles of Xtreme6 Racing Brake Fluid.  The feature winner will receive a 5-Gallon Race Jug from Precise.  Ontime Body & Graphic's "Spoiler Alert" will award a spoiler kit to the 14th place finisher (note: if a driver has already won a spoiler this season, spoiler will be awarded to the next position).  Performance Bodies will award a $100 gift card to the first non-qualifier part of the "Nosed Out" program.

Saturday's race is a Platinum Event designation- the second of three scheduled in 2022.  Platinum Events allow Tour members the opportunity to use the event to replace their worst Tour finish or give Tour members that have or will miss a Tour show in 2022 the opportunity to use the event as a replacement Marquee Event.  The third and final Platinum Event is scheduled for Friday, September 23 at Genesee Speedway.  If one of those events would get rained out, Friday, September 30 at PPMS would become a Platinum designation.
