HOVIS RUSH LATE MODEL FLYNN'S
TIRE/GUNTER'S HONEY TOURING SERIES HEADS TO THE MID-ATLANTIC SATURDAY NIGHT AT
WINCHESTER FOR $5,000 TO-WIN
By Mike Leone
September 15, 2026 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Winchester, VA)...After a weekend off, the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH
Dirt Late Models Flynn's Tire/Gunter's Honey Touring Series will return to
action in a big way this Saturday night
(September 19) at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Virginia.
Race #11 of the of the 2026 season will
pay $5,000 to-win; there have been 9 different winners in 10 events thus far!
Schneider Trucks Hot Laps will begin at 6
p.m. followed by FK Rod Ends Qualifying with racing to follow.
Mother Nature claimed the first
scheduled Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Tour event at Winchester this season back
on April 25 as it marked the third straight year that the spring event was
rained out. The Tour has made nine
appearances over the years at Winchester's high-banked red clay oval with six
different winners. Logan Roberson, the 2022 Tour Champion, leads the way with
three victories. Kyle Hardy, the
2021 Tour Champion, is the only other repeat winner as he claimed the most
recent visit on September 6, 2025. Other winners include Rick Singleton, Walker
Arthur, Allen Brannon, and Charlie Sandercock, who scored the upset victory in
2023. The Canadian Sandercock is the
only non-Virginia resident to win a Tour event at Winchester!
The event will also count towards
RUSH Colussy Chevrolet National Weekly Series, Winchester’s Track Pack and Russ
King Racing "Futures Cup" points for those eligible racers.
Winchester has completed more RUSH Weekly Series events than any other
RUSH-sanctioned track in 2026 at 17.
Devin Brannon has won 10 of those including seven of the last nine, which has
him atop the Colussy Chevrolet National Weekly Series standings and the $1,000
to-win Track Pack! Hardy and Davin
Kasier, the 2023 Russ King Racing Futures Cup Champion, each have a pair of
victories, while single victories have been captured by Jacob Burdette,
Roberson, and Jacob Whitt.
“We’re looking forward to Winchester on
Saturday night,” expressed RUSH Director Vicki Emig.
“Winchester has a strong base of weekly competitors and throw in some
other Mid-Atlantic racers taking on our Tour standouts and it should be a
tremendous race in the battle for $5,000!
Track owner Greg Gunter has been a huge supporter of RUSH as 2026 marks his 13th
straight season hosting the RUSH Late Models weekly at his track.
Gunter's Honey is in their third year as a co-presenting sponsor of the
Tour and Greg has also owned and sponsored RUSH Late Model cars over the years."
Five-time Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s
Honey Touring Series Champion, Jeremy Wonderling, who is the only repeat winner
this season, leads the Tour into Winchester.
Wonderling’s point lead in the battle for the $20,000 title has shrunk to
14 over Demetrios Drellos, who has beaten Wonderling in five of the last six
events including his first career Tour win at Stateline. Drellos is the only
driver that has finished in the top 10 in all 10 events this season!
Thanks to eight straight top 10
finishes, Christian Schneider leads Kurt Stebbins by 15 in the battle for third
in points as well as the $3,000 to-win 3C Graphix Rookie-of-the-Year
standings. Daryl Charlier is just four points behind Stebbins in fifth.
Austin Allen, who is fresh off his first career Tour win at the last
event at Tri-City, is up to sixth in points as Ben Easler, Jason Knowles, Ashton
Briggs, and Cody Dawson complete the top 10.
Schneider Trucks will present the
"Hottest of the Hot" with $50 going to the driver that turns the fastest lap in
hot laps. $100 "Shock the Clock" Qualifying and $25 to-win heat races will be
presented by FK Rod Ends. The Sunoco Dash will set the beginning rows of
the feature lineup and will award the winner a $100 Sunoco fuel gift card.
The "Fill'er up with Sunoco Bucks" program co-presented by Bazell Race Fuels
will include an additional $400 of Sunoco fuel card giveaways; two $100 random
draws for drivers in the top 15 of Tour points and another four $50 random draws
for all other competitors each night.

passes the most cars in the feature. Close Racing Supply will award a $100 gift
card for the driver chosen as the "Tough Break of the Night". Ontime Body
& Graphic's "Spoiler Alert" will award a spoiler kit to the 11th place finisher.
