RELEASE
(Pulaski, PA)...The
Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Racing Series presented by Born2Run Lubricants is
excited to announce that IllusionCoats Powder Coating has stepped up their
involvement for the upcoming 2026 season.
IllusionCoats has become the “Official Powder Coater” of the Series and
will also present the “Firing Zone” at all RUSH Late Model Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s
Honey Touring Series events. Also,
IllusionCoats will once again provide a complete powder coating of a Late Model
frame to a lucky driver at “Manufacturers Night” presented by MSD Performance on
August 9 at Eriez Speedway.
This past season, IllusionCoats involvement with the RUSH Late Models began when
co-owner/operator, Alex Anderson, contacted the Series to contribute to
“Manufacturers Night”. IllusionCoats
awarded a free sandblast and powder coating of a Late Model frame valued at
$825, which was won by Jason Knowles.
Knowles redeemed his certificate in November taking his Rocket Chassis to
IllusionCoat’s shop in Conneaut, Ohio and later posted how thrilled he was with
the job that was performed.
“I’m especially excited to partner with Vicki Emig and Mike
Leone," acknowledged Anderson. "I have tremendous respect for both of them
and the legacy they are carrying forward. Their
dedication to the sport of racing is evident in everything they do, and I know
they are continuously working in the best interest of racers to help grow the
sport the right way.”
“We’re really excited to team up with the RUSH Racing Series,"
stated IllusionCoats co-owner/operator Kyle Adkins.
"They’ve done a lot for racers around here, and it shows.
They’ve worked hard to keep racing strong
in our region and to create real opportunities for drivers to compete and grow.
We’re proud to be part of something that’s helping move the sport forward.”
“Mike (Leone) and I have known Alex Anderson since he started racing a Modified
more than 20 years ago when I owned Mercer Raceway Park,” revealed RUSH Director
Vicki Emig. “Over the years, Alex
competed in several different divisions at Mercer and with the RUSH Late Models;
then in recent years as the owner of
Dave Hess, Jr’s car, which was victorious
in my father’s $20,000 to win memorial two years ago at Lernerville Speedway.
His support of RUSH will now come full circle as he also becomes an
important corporate marketing partner of the Series."
"IllusionCoats will be recognized throughout all five RUSH divisions as the
‘Official Powder Coater’ of the entire RUSH Racing Series as well as the
presenting sponsor of the 'Firing Zone' at all RUSH Late Model Touring Series
events," added Emig. "We all know
how critical restarts are in crate racing, and I look forward to IllusionCoats
becoming synonymous with this exciting part of these events.
The addition of a complete powder coating of a Late Model Chassis to our
Late Model Manufacturers Night is a tremendous contribution, and will be one of
our top giveaways at this year's event.”
