“MAN UP” MAHONING VALLEY TO PARTNER WITH “BILL EMIG MEMORIAL” FOR SWEENEY RUSH LATE MODELS AT SHARON MAY 25-26
May 18, 2013 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Pulaski, PA)…When the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series converge on Sharon Speedway May 25-26 for the Bill Emig Memorial “Wild Card Weekend”, the Humility of Mary Health Partners Foundation will be on hand for its prostate awareness campaign; Man Up Mahoning Valley.
“I lost my father Bill to cancer that eventually metastasized into his prostrate,” acknowledged RUSH Series Co-Director Vicki Emig. “When I became aware of this organization, I thought it was appropriate to have them join my father’s memorial weekend to raise awareness for men to get checkups. I truly believe, because of the original location of his cancer, that if my dad would have been more proactive in getting an exam such as this he would still be here today.”
The “Man Up” Mahoning Valley is an organization committed to awareness and screening for prostate cancer as it is the #1 diagnosed cancer at Humility of Mary Health Partners. Early detection is vital. The Fuel the Fight “Drive Out Prostate Cancer” is a one of a kind car event to be held Sunday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Boardman High School at 7777 Glenwood Avenue in Boardman, Ohio. The Mega Car Show and Family Event will feature the world’s oldest Mustang and much more. All proceeds from the event go to the Man Up Mahoning Valley Campaign, which provides free screenings and educational outreach to those who are either uninsured or underinsured.
