(Pulaski, PA)…Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Racing Series powered by Pace Performance is excited to announce a new program for 2016 that will see $6,000 in Sweeney/Pace gift cards distributed to RUSH Late Model, Sportsman Modified, Pro Mod, and Pro Stock racers through the new Midseason "Performance Bucks" program.  This will bring the total to over $1,300 in cash and contingencies RUSH is giving back to each Late Model weekly-sanctioned speedway. 

The Midseason "Performance Bucks" program will award a $100 Sweeney/Pace gift card to member drivers in third, fifth, and seventh place in points at the end of June at each RUSH Late Model weekly-sanctioned speedway, at Sharon Speedway for the RUSH Sportsman Modifieds, at Stateline Speedway for the RUSH Pro Stocks, and in the Sweeney Weekly Series points for the RUSH Pro Stocks.  (Note: the RUSH weekly point system will be utilized.)

Also, three $100 gift cards will be given away to drivers in the Sweeney Late Model Tour Loyalty Program (those with perfect attendance) with one after the completion of Marquee Event four, eight, and twelve.  And in addition, one card will be given away at the Late Model, Sportsman Modified, and Pro Mod “Manufacturers Nights”.

"We wanted to create a program that would reward a large number of RUSH racers throughout the entire region," stated Matt Fullerton of Sweeney/Pace.  "With the help of Vicki (Emig) and Mike (Leone) from RUSH this program was formed that will increase their ability to give back even more to weekly racers throughout the region, and at the same time expand our Sweeney/Pace name and product awareness to a larger audience."

For the RUSH Late Model racers, the end of June marks the determination of the Pace Performance "Summer Chase" racers with each member driver in the top 10 of weekly track points as well as the Touring Series eligible for the $10,000+ cash point fund that runs through Labor Day Weekend. 

The Pace Midseason “Performance Bucks" program will now add $300 in contingencies per track to the already posted new Late Model "Track Pack Bonus Program" that was to distribute over $1,000 in cash and contingencies at season's end.   In 2016, RUSH will offer each weekly-sanctioned speedway $800 cash to its top five member drivers along with contingencies for positions six through eight using RUSH points!  With the additional contingency value plus the new "Midseason Performance Bucks" program, each individual RUSH-sanctioned track will receive over $1,300 in value over and above what their racers receive in all of the other valuable RUSH "Weekly" programs!

The 2016 champion at each RUSH weekly-sanctioned track will earn $300 with $200 going to second, $150 third, $100 fourth, and $50 fifth!  Contingency prizes will then be posted for those racers in sixth through eighth in the RUSH member points.  The combination of these exciting programs will infuse $21,300 in cash and contingencies back to Late Model weekly racers! 

“We’re very excited about these new programs,” expressed Emig.  “The number of RUSH weekly-sanctioned tracks and racers continue to grow each year.  In 2015 we had over 350 different Late Model racers participate at one of the 23 tracks that hosted a RUSH-sanctioned event.  The amount we’re offering in cash and contingencies to each track’s racers is double or three times their annual sanction fee depending if they sign a one or three-year agreement.  These programs will give incentive for local racers to continue to support their weekly tracks and take home additional monies." 

To be eligible for the "Track Pack Bonus Program" and "Midseason Performance Bucks" in 2016, drivers need to simply be a RUSH Weekly Series member at the same cost of $125 or for $225 drivers can become members of both Weekly and Touring.  For the third straight year, a RUSH membership also includes $100,000 of excess participant accident insurance when competing in a RUSH event.
