June 30, 2016            FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Pulaski, PA)…The Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Series powered by Pace Performance is proud to announce that Rocket Chassis will be increasing their involvement with the Series beginning this Friday night (July 1) via the $10,050 Pace Performance "Summer Chase" Championship Program.  The Shinnston, West Virginia company will once again offer a $500 gift certificate at "Manufacturers Night" presented by MSD Performance on Sunday, August 14 at Tri-City Raceway Park, but in addition will give away the single most valuable product contingency prize ever in the history of the Series- a certificate valued at $7,500 towards the purchase of a 2017 Rocket XR1 Chassis, Stage 2!

The 2017 Rocket XR1certificate will be awarded to one lucky driver that has qualified for the Pace "Summer Chase".  The qualified drivers will then receive one chance per every RUSH event they compete at during the "Summer Chase", which will begin July 1 at Lernerville Speedway and continue through Labor Day weekend.  The drawing will be held in victory lane at the completion of the Sweeney Tour feature event at Lernerville's "Steel City Stampede" on October 15.

"We want to thank Mark Richards and Steve Baker of Rocket Chassis for stepping up their involvement with RUSH," stated Series Co-Director Vicki Emig.  To be able to award one of our RUSH racers a certificate valued at $7,500 towards the purchase of a Stage 2 2017 Rocket XR1 chassis simply amazing!  Couple that with the fact that Rocket Chassis is the chassis of choice throughout our Series and there is no doubt that RUSH racers from Canada to southern Maryland and everywhere in between will be greatly anticipating this drawing at the grand finale of our season, the "Steel City Stampede'!"

"We looked at several different options of how to give the car away, and felt this was the best way," Series Co-Director Mike Leone.  "It's an additional reward for member racers, rewards drivers for racing more, and most importantly allows racers from throughout the entire region a shot at this tremendous prize."

In order to redeem the certificate, a racer must purchase a 2017 Rocket XR1 Chassis, Stage 2 package that is valued at over $23,000, less the $7,500 certificate.  (See http://www.rushlatemodels.com/RocketGiveaway2016.pdf for XRI Stage 2 details; quoted prices valid through July 2017.)  The car must be assembled by Rocket Chassis at their place of business in Shinnston, West Virginia.  The certificate has no expiration date and is transferable to another eligible 2016 RUSH "Summer Chase" driver if the recipient would choose to do so.

"Mark Richards and Steve Baker have really given the RUSH 'Summer Chase' racers a tremendous opportunity to compete for one of the most sought after chassis in our industry," stated Emig.  "I cannot tell you how much it means to us to have Rocket Chassis increase their participation with RUSH to this level.  It's a very generous way for them to show their appreciation of our competitors and our style of grassroots racing and we cannot thank them enough.  I know RUSH member racers of all levels are going to be extremely excited to know they have the very same opportunity as their fellow racers to win this valuable certificate, as will our RUSH sanctioned promoters, as it gives added incentive for racers to support their speedways. "

Drivers qualified for the Pace "Summer Chase" by being in the top 10 of  RUSH weekly-sanctioned track member points or Sweeney Touring Series points at the end of June.  Then from July 1 through Labor Day, every RUSH event counts with the top 10 highest point averages receiving point fund monies as part of the $10,050 point fund with $3,000 to the champion and $500 for 10th.  Drivers must compete in a minimum of six events to be eligible for the point fund.
