KYLE LUKON IS 1^ST SWEENEY RUSH L.M. TOUR WINNER ON SUNOCO 260 GT FUEL; EARNS $500 BONUS

(Pulaski, PA)…Kyle Lukon captured his first career Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series victory on July 13 at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway.  As a result, the 23-year-old Burgettstown, Pa. racer becomes the first driver to win a Sweeney Tour event running Sunoco 260 GT fuel since the RUSH/Sunoco alliance was formed earlier this month, and will now receive the $500 bonus that was posted as part of the Sunoco program!

As part of post-race tech, fuel sample tests were collected by RUSH competition director Travis Harry to verify that Lukon was utilizing the Sunoco 260 GT product.  Both a hydrometer test, which measures specific gravity, and a test utilizing the Digatron DT-47ftd, which tests the dielectric constant and the direct current conductivity of the fuel, were performed. 

Finally Lukon’s purchase of the Sunoco 260 GT product from a Sunoco Race Fuels distributor and display of the required Sunoco decal was confirmed to complete Lukon’s eligibility for the $500 bonus. The Lukons also confirmed that Kyle has utilized the Sunoco 260 GT the entire season with a total of five victories to his credit at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway.
