April 12, 2013                FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Pulaski, PA)…Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Series directors Vicki Emig and Mike Leone are thrilled to announce TurboStart has joined as a Major Contingency Sponsor for the upcoming 2013 Touring season.  The New Castle, Pennsylvania-based company adds to the growing list of national companies that have signed on to back the Series.

TurboStart will award ten 16-volt racing batteries at selected Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC Touring Series events in 2013 as their contribution in product to RUSH will exceed $2,500!

The batteries will be awarded randomly at the following events: “Bill Emig Memorial” Sharon Speedway (May 25-26), “Mid-Atlantic Triple Crown” Hagerstown, Roaring Knob, and Allegany County Speedways (June 21-23), “Off with the Tops” Lernerville and Sharon Speedways (July 5-6), “Manufacturers Night” Pittsburgh (August 31), “Fall Classic” McKean County Raceway (September 20-21), and the “Northern State Classic – RUSH National Championship” Roaring Knob (October 18-19).

One battery, which retails at $252 each, will be awarded at each of the above weekends with the exception of the “Manufacturers Night” where five will be awarded!  The “Manufacturers Night” will see over $30,000 in product be distributed in addition to the $1,500 to-win Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC Touring event.

These 16-V batteries are the new low profile design and are only 6" high featuring limited space mounting.  These batteries put out 550 cranking amps at 32° F.  The reserve capacity is 50 minutes at 25 amps.  The sealed battery utilizes the latest state of the art AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) separator technology.  At only 32 pounds, TurboStart's lightweight 16-volt battery is among the lightest AGM types in the industry.  Because they can't leak, even if the container is damaged, they're able to ship their TurboStart AGM Series types fully charged so the battery is ready to go when you get it!

“I have to thank TurboStart’s Brian Turk for making this happen,” expressed Emig.  “Brian has been a friend of mine for many years going to back to when I was involved with my father owning race cars and then was a big help in our safety operations during my tenure at Mercer Raceway Park.  Even though TurboStart is based less than 10 minutes from our office, it’s another national company that we are thrilled to have come aboard.  These will be valuable contingencies for our competitors”

TurboStart batteries are manufactured by Axion Power International Inc. at 3601 Clover Lane, New Castle, PA 16105.  TurboStart is the only US manufacturer of 16-V racing batteries and sealed collector car batteries.  Do not be fooled by others who claim higher performance and better quality. TurboStart Batteries are the best in the business.  TurboStart Batteries are used by many competitors in all forms of motorsports including NASCAR and NHRA Drag Racing.  For more information, check out their website at www.turbostart.com or call Brian Turk at 724-654-9300, ext. 2001.
